My Story · Ice Capades → Pro Modified Champion
The ice.
I was a pro figure skater with the Ice Capades. Sequins, spotlights, a full house every night, and cameras everywhere. I learned how to perform, how to represent a sponsor, and how to fall down in front of a crowd and get right back up like I meant it. (I did not always mean it.)
Turns out that last one is the most useful thing I ever learned.
The quarter mile.
I traded skates for tires and sequins for a fire suit. I watched my husband race, fell in love with the sport, and never looked back. Twenty-plus years of pro drag racing later: multiple #1 qualifiers, event wins, and the 2015 IHRA Pro Mod championship.
My office is a 2014 Cadillac CTS-V with a 526 HEMI. Her name is Stella. Don’t let the lipstick holder in the shifter tower fool you… she means business. So do I.
The gap.
Then I stepped away. A few years with no staging lanes, no burnouts, no Sunday finals. I’m not going to dress it up. Life happens off the track too, and I’ve never pretended otherwise.
What I didn’t do is disappear. I kept talking about this sport, kept teaching fans what’s actually happening inside a Pro Mod, and kept showing up for the partners who showed up for me. The car was parked. I wasn’t.
The comeback.
Here’s the part I didn’t script. We got Stella ready to race in 2026, and then the schedule went away before I ever rolled into the lanes. (Not my doing. Not the end of it, either.)
So the comeback is still on. Stella’s ready. The crew’s ready. And we’re building toward 2027 and beyond, one pass at a time. You’ll get every step of it from me straight.
