Meet Stella.
She’s a 2014 Cadillac CTS-V Pro Mod with a 526 HEMI, built by Matheis Race Cars, and she’s my office. Everything in that cockpit runs on air, the shifter goes backwards from what you’d expect, and yes, there’s a lipstick holder in the tower. You’re going to be fast, you’ve got to be fabulous.
She’s named after my nanny, Stella. Never had a license. Never drove a car in her life. Now her name has a supercharger on the hood.
What all those levers actually do.
Fans always ask. So I took a camera into my office and walked through every switch, pedal, and lever, from the trans brake to the mag to the parachute lever I don’t actually use. Then I took you down the track. Filmed a few seasons back, still the best explanation you’ll get of what’s happening in a Pro Mod.
